At Ritual, the production artist will support the design team by ensuring excellent creative standards are delivered on every project. You will be taking creative concepts developed by lead designers and executing final layouts for brand projects.
The production artist should have a solid knowledge of printing processes and experience with digital content such as websites, social media, online advertising and email campaigns. Additionally, strong typography knowledge, layout skills, strict attention to detail, project management, file-organization and archiving skills are required. We work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and look to add a candidate with a can-do positive attitude to our versatile team.
Take direction from lead creatives and design extended brand campaign applications (you will be designing based on set direction)
Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications
Ability to make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
Collaborate closely with art directors, designers and developers
Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
Ability to search for stock photography across various industry stock websites
Create PDFs for print and client review
Copywriting and proofreading
Prepare images for digital applications
Catalog and reference art for future projects
Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
Willingness to troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and vendors
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Powerpoint, Keynote
5-7 years experience working in the creative industry
